Reclaiming an Antique for the Master Bath

Was lucky to discover this lovely English Island server, with antique wood top and a base made from reclaimed wood, at European Country Antiques in Cambridge.

Don't you love when you find a "find"? Especially when it is on sale? This English Server happened to be just the perfect size to be fitted as the new vanity in the Master Bath of THE CONCORD GREEN HEALTHY HOME. Antiquing, recycling, salvaging, sustainable, reclaimed... by any name, it's a good thing :) --

-- unless, of course, you are Patrick, our site supervisor, who has to figure out exactly how to make a wonderfully "rustic" old top and uneven legs behave as a functioning bath vanity. Of course, Patrick always figures it out. :)

These Rohl Hi-Arc Country Bath Lavatory Faucets in polished nickel will be paired with above-counter rectangular white sinks that mimic the proportions of the server's drawers.

Ok, you have to use your imagination a bit here. The English Server / vanity will be installed with painted wainscot behind and chunky large mirror frame above.

Barn Light Montana Sconces from Barn Light Electric will grace the mirror frame

A few more goodies to enjoy, courtesy of European Country Antiques:

French Cupboard made From Antique French Windows and Reclaimed Pine

Antique French Shop Counter converted into Kitchen Island

European Lift-top Bench made from reclaimed pine

Antique French Zinc Top Table with Painted Base

Have a great day.
